Terminology To Know

The Mythos - What we know as "mythological creatures", The Mythos consists of a variety of creatures from the well known like dragons and gryphons, to ancient mysteries, like the shadowy figures called echoes.Oasis - An Oasis is a magical pocket where time is slowed, that is only accessible by The Mythos.Soul Items - These can be things like flowers or gemstones, but soul items are The Mythos equivalent to hibernation, comas, or the freeze state of fight or flight. They slow time for The Mythos until they are freed from this hibernation.Summoners - People with a certain amount of Mythos Blood that can free Mythos from their Soul Items; either partially with their own form, or completely with magical items known to resonate with a soul call.Soul Instruments & Soul Calls - Soul Instruments are magically crafted items used to resonate with the frequency of a Mythos's soul items, called their Soul Call, to get help them resonate once again with the world around them and escape their hibernation. Note: Not all are actual instruments (such as a phoenix being freed by fire after it reaches a certain degree).
